Taryn is the owner of JMDSolutions (Pty) Ltd.

Growing up with a family of accountants and bookkeepers, it was inevitable that I too would end up in the same field.  With a natural talent and understandng of figures, I excelled in accounting at school, and often helped other students with their work and understanding the subject.

At 18 I began my working career as a receptionist, not where I wanted to be, but definitely a stepping stone in the right direction.  Over the years I have dedicated myself to learning as much as I can through courses and experience and continue doing so now.  Knowledge is power, and learning is a huge passion of mine.

In 2012 I started working at an accounting firm and I stayed there for 6 years, learning and growing from the experience of more senior staff members as well as some courses that they sent me on at my request.

For as long as I can remeber, I dreamed of having my own business.  I remember drawing pictures of "what I want to be when I grow up", and one of those pictures was a woman holding a briefcase, I wanted to be a successful business person.  For two years I had that "something" pushing me to resign from my job, and start up on my own.  Then one day I woke up and thought: "today's the day".  

For all you single parents out there, you understand how much of a big deal it is stepping away from a guaranteed monthly salary.  How much pressure it puts you under.  But for some reason I just knew that it would all work out.  And it did. 

October 1st, 2017 I started JMD Bookkeeping, within my first week I had my first client.  

I believe that a business succeeds because it consists of people who live it, dream it and build great plans for its future.  I am committed to maintaining the highest professional and technical standards and strive continually to grow my knowledge and expertise.

I am committed to give all my clients a personal, professional service which is value for money.  

JMD Solutions continues to grow, in 2020 we moved to a new premises, hired a junior bookkeeper and a CA joined our team, and as a result we are now able to offer more services.
